This workshop series provides an introduction to artificial intelligence and machine learning, notably popularized in Korea after DeepMind's AlphaGo beat former Go world champion Lee Sedol. Through a combination of hands-on exercise and discussion, participants will learn basic concepts of machine learning and train a machine learning model using a web browser. We will also discuss some key questions to ask about machine learning applications, and what our relationship with the technology should be.

👐 No prior knowledge of programming or machine learning required to participate. Anyone is welcome to join, and the following people are especially encouraged to apply:

• You are an artist and/or activist interested in technology
• You are curious about AI and machine learning but don't know where to start
• You are interested in tech literacy and education

❌ Some things this workshop will NOT cover:

• How to become a machine learning specialist
• Cool tricks that will get you good scores in machine learning competitions
• "All you need to know about AI"
• Breakdown of state-of-the-art models and research papers

Session 1: Training

Participants will train their own image classification model using Teachable Machine.
